Most people have not been told what a veterinary appointment involves. Here it is in order, including the part about money.

Tell us what you have noticed
Book online or call. Reception will ask a few questions first, so that we can give you the right length of appointment rather than a standard one.

Arrive a few minutes early
There is a separate waiting area for cats. If your animal finds the waiting room difficult, say so and you are welcome to wait in the car until we are ready.

The consultation
Twenty minutes. We examine, explain what we think is going on in plain language, and set out the options along with what each one costs before anything is agreed.

What happens afterwards
You leave with a written summary. Results are telephoned through by the vet who saw you, not passed on by reception.
